J.D. Lasica, one of the earliest social media strategists, is a consultant to Fortune 1000 companies as well as mid-size companies, startups and nonprofits. He is widely considered one of the world’s leading authorities on social media and the revolution in user-created media. J.D. is chief executive of Socialmedia.biz, founded the consultancy Socialbrite.org for nonprofits, wrote the book "Darknet" about emerging media, founded Ourmedia, the first video hosting site, and speaks at a wide range of conferences. J.D. lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
