Maurene Caplan Grey, Founder and Principal Analyst of Grey Consulting, has over 20 years of experience in information and communication technologies and business practices, with expertise in e-communications, social media and collaboration. Recent clients include Akonix, Cisco, Credit Suisse, Deloitte, Deerfield, EMC, Iroquois Gas Transmission Systems, JupiterEvents, Mirapoint, Symantec, X1 Technologies and ZDNet.
Prior to starting an independent firm, Ms. Grey was Gartner's lead research analyst covering email messaging, instant messaging/chat, calendaring/scheduling and human communications. She authored over 150 research reports and presented at Gartner and vendor conferences in the US, Europe and Latin America. Earlier, she headed United Parcel Service's global messaging operations.
Ms. Grey's industry involvement includes serving as a first-round judge for the SIIA CODiE 2009, in the Social Media category and SIIA CODiE 2008 and 2007 Awards, both in the Communications category. She is a contributing author of Working Collaboratively in an Electronic World (ARMA International). Maurene was an Advisory Board Member and Research Fellow of the Society for New Communications Research. She also served as Conference Director for INBOX: The Messaging Event (produced by JupiterEvents). Ms. Grey is a member of the Social Media Club. She is widely quoted in print and broadcast media, such as the Associated Press, CNN, Forbes, The New York Times and Reuters.
