OVERVIEW:
The Society for New Communications Research is pleased to announce its
call for entries for the 2009 SNCR Excellence in New Communications Awards.
These awards honor the work of individuals, corporations, nonprofit
organizations, educational institutions and media outlets that are
pioneering the use of social media, ICT, mobile media, online
communities, virtual worlds and collaborative technologies in the areas of
business, media and professional communications, including marketing,
public relations, and advertising as well as entertainment, education,
politics, and social initiatives.
Awards are granted in six divisions: Corporate, Government, Media,
Nonprofit/NGO, Academic and Technology Innovation (for New Communications
and Social Media Technology Vendors), and in twelve categories: Online
Reputation Management; Behind the Firewall; Influencer Relations; External
Communications & Communities; Collaboration & Co-creation; New Media Creation; Online Publishing; Mobile Media; Microblogging; Social CRM; and Measurement Innovation.
The Excellence in New Communications Awards are presented by the Society for New Communications Research, a global nonprofit 501(c)(3) research and education foundation and think tank dedicated to the advanced study of new media and communications tools, technologies and emerging modes of communication, and their effect on business, media, culture and society.
SNCR EXCELLENCE IN NEW COMMUNICATIONS AWARD ENTRY INSTRUCTIONS:

and thoroughly and submit by the deadline of September 7, 2009. No
extensions will be granted.
ELIGIBILITY: The awards are open to any organization or project or product launched during 2009.
Should your entry be chosen as a SNCR Award winner, do you agree to allow
the SNCR to publish your case study on NewComm Review and/or other SNCR
publications?
(Please note: Because the purpose of this awards program is to share success
stories and best practices, you must agree to allow for publication of your winning
case study in order to be eligible to enter the SNCR Excellence in New
Communications Awards program.)
